The morning cigar and coffee combination is one of life’s more serene and short past times. Of course, it is not for everyone, but cigar enthusiasts sure do appreciate that time in the morning (when they can) to read, gather their thoughts or prepare for the day ahead. So, we’ve selected this quartet of light-to-medium strength cigars with a smoke time of 20 minutes to 50 minutes, a perfect selection to be accompanied by a coffee.
Starting with the longest cigar out of the sampler the Por Larranaga Petit Corona, many would consider this to be the quintessential Cuban to complement a morning coffee. It remains one of the most distinctive, and best, cigars of its size still today. Uncharacteristically sweet, almost to a degree reminiscent of honey, and with base of brown toast, some earth, and a gentle touch of cedar, this small smoke delivers an unconventional plethora of flavours.
The Quai d’Orsay No.50 has the lengthiest smoke time of the cigars in this selection, around 50 mins, but we consider it to be the perfect amount of time for this blend of tobacco. A fine balance of peppery and sweet notes combines to provide a genuine option as an archetypal cigar to pair with a dark coffee.
Whilst the shortest cigar in the current Havana portfolio, the Half Corona is comfortably the best cigar within its burn timeframe. A modern classic, and with its insistence of being smoked in well under 30 minutes, perfect for the brunch meeting to the morning newspaper and coffee sit down. More leather and earth to be found within its profile, with the slightest coffee element. This cigar burns and draws wonderfully, tempered perfectly by its slightly thicker ring gauge. A great cigar to walk with, too.
The Romeo y Julieta Petit Julieta is an ideal one to have if you only have a quarter hour to relax with a coffee in the morning or for the aficionado on the move.

For all cigars we advise that they are stored in a humidor at no higher than 21°C and between 65-70% relative humidity. If no humidor is available, we would recommend a plastic zip-lock bag with a small spray of distilled water. This will keep the cigars fresh for up to three months.
We offer a gift packaging service for £3.99 per item.
